Charu Raman is an Emmy-nominated multimedia journalist and documentary producer based in New York. She has produced feature and short documentaries for Hulu, PBS, Netflix, The New Yorker, and Vox Media.

In 2023, she produced ‘Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg’, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for the Golden Eye Award at Cannes. Most recently, she produced ‘The Inquisitor’, which had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The film will be released on PBS Independent Lens in 2026.
